More than a bookstore
Odradek is a publishing house, an intellectual centre, a film club and a space for creating, preserving and sharing cultural values. We see ourselves as a place where East Slavic languages and their speakers meet and coexist — scattered across the world, yet finding a home, or at least a shelter, in Tbilisi.
It all began as two separate projects — the online shop Tiflis Books and the travelling book distro Chemodan (“Suitcase”). Joining forces, we founded Odradek, naming it in homage to one of our favourite authors, Franz Kafka. Today we work on Dzmebi Zubalashvili street, named after the brothers who founded Georgian book printing.
